Falsehood #7: Biden falsely claimed that “If we kept (the minimum wage) indexed to inflation, people would be making $20 an hour right now.”

Biden made this claim on February 16, 2021 during a CNN town hall in Wisconsin.

EXPLANATION: This is false. Indexing the minimum wage would not produce an hourly wage of $20 today. The real calculation comes out to be somewhere between $8.98 and $12.27, depending on the year.
